SPOOL explores the tangible nature of borders in a cross-arts performance.
Originally created for Brighton Fringe 2017, as part of Brighton Dance Network's The Dance Trail. SPOOL was performed in the window of a local pizzeria on the border between Hove and Brighton.
Physical maps, movement, rhythm, thread and poetry formed SPOOL. This series of images and movement explored the physical borders between space, performer and audience.
Performances of SPOOL took place in the front window of an Italian restaurant, Pronto in Tavola, on the borderline between Brighton and Hove. SPOOL was also performed in the foyer of the University of Roehampton's dance department as part of their annual festival for new dance.
